About HER! Initiative
HER! Initiative is a feminist led non-governmental organization founded on the 28th of July, 2021 although the idea was preconceived in 2015. The initiative is an intersectional community of young African feminists dedicated to gender equality, reproductive health, education, self awareness and self love. The initiative employs conscious and intentional actions to the empowerment of young girls and women in every way possible( socially, economically and politically) and it aims to ensure that gender equality is attained and sustained.
Through educative leadership, self awareness and empowerment programs, HER! Initiative aims to attain sustainability within a community of likeminded individuals with the aims of contributing her quota to the SDGs. HER! Initiative is a youth-led organization and hopes to give young individuals the space and opportunity to impact in their societies while advocating for equality.
I am a woman and I have all that it takes to be anything I want to be. There is a champion in me. I am beautiful, I am smart, I am powerful, I am strong and I have a future!
